In the ongoing coal scam case, preparations are underway to transfer jailed accused Suryakant Tripathi to another prison. A court hearing regarding the matter is scheduled for today.
Preparations are on to shift Suryakant Tripathi, the accused in jail in Chhattisgarh's much talked about coal levy scam case, to another jail. An application has been filed by the jail administration to transfer the accused to Ambikapur jail, which is to be heard in the special court today. The jail administration alleges that Suryakant creates a ruckus in the jail and does not cooperate in the action.
The court had ordered the transfer of the accused A complaint was made in the ED's special court regarding the accused of excise, coal and custom milling lodged in the jail. It was alleged that they were running a syndicate and were taking advantage of VIP treatment. After this complaint, Raipur jail had taken this decision. At the same time, the court had ordered the transfer of all the accused to various jails of the state.
