Congress Appoints 58 Observers for Bihar Elections: 4 Leaders from Chhattisgarh Among Key Picks
Raipur, CG
The All India Congress Committee (AICC) has appointed 58 observers ahead of the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections, with four senior leaders from Chhattisgarh named to the list. These include former minister Amarjeet Bhagat, former MLA Shailesh Pandey, Deepak Mishra, and Bhuvneshwar Baghel.
The appointments were officially announced through an order signed by AICC General Secretary K.C. Venugopal, marking a significant move in the party’s pre-election preparations in Bihar.
Strategic Role for Chhattisgarh Leaders
The selected leaders are expected to play a critical role in strengthening Congress's election strategy on the ground, ensuring better coordination and supporting local candidates in key constituencies.
Each observer will be responsible for monitoring campaign activities, coordinating with district and state units, and gathering grassroots-level feedback to fine-tune the party’s approach in their respective assigned zones.
Mix of Senior and Emerging Faces
The list of 58 observers reflects a blend of experienced political strategists and emerging party functionaries, aimed at energizing Congress’s electoral presence in Bihar, where regional parties have traditionally held strong ground.
This move is also seen as part of the Congress high command’s broader strategy to deploy regional talent to states where the party seeks to regain lost influence.
