Crackdown on Illegal Plotting Intensifies

The administration has launched a major crackdown on illegal land plotting, imposing a ban on registration and sale of disputed plots. A final notice has been issued to violators, warning of strict legal action to curb unauthorized developments.

Revenue and Urban Administration have taken strict steps in the case of illegal plotting and construction without building permission in Nagar Panchayat Barela. In the case, notices were issued to 9 people and a reply was sought, but till now no one has responded. On this, the administration has warned that now after the final notice, unilateral action will be taken directly without hearing.

According to the information, some people were buying and selling land by illegal plotting in the Nagar Panchayat area, as well as construction work was also being done without permission. Seeing the seriousness of the matter, SDM Mungeli has banned the registration and transaction of these lands with immediate effect. Also, instructions have been given to immediately stop the construction work going on without building permission.

Naib Tehsildar Prakriti Dhruv said that even after the notice was issued, no one has responded. Therefore, now another final notice will be issued. Even after this, if there is no response, the administration will take direct action against the concerned under the rules, which may include demolition of construction, fine and legal action. On the other hand, CMO of Nagar Panchayat Barela, CB Bandhe said that no person, even if influential, will be spared from action for violating the rules. Whatever action is proposed as per the rules will be taken.

This action being taken in Barela is giving a strict administrative message across the district that there will be no concession on illegal plotting and unauthorized construction. This step can prove to strengthen the rule-based system in the direction of city development. But it will be meaningful only when the administration takes action on such cases without any discrimination and without any pressure.
