Heavy rain in Chhattisgarh's Korba district disrupted traffic on Saturday after a large amount of mud and debris spilled onto the Sarvamangala-Kanberi main road. A passenger bus and a car became stuck in the debris, temporarily affecting movement on the route.According to local reports, rainwater carried mud and sand from a nearby SECL dumping area onto the road. The accumulation turned part of the stretch into a muddy, slippery surface, making it difficult for vehicles to pass.

Mud and debris suddenly covered the road

The situation worsened during heavy rainfall as soil and debris flowed onto the road connecting Sarvamangala and Kanberi.The material quickly spread across a section of the road. A passenger bus and a car that were travelling through the area became stuck and could not move forward.Traffic was disrupted as other vehicles were forced to stop around the affected stretch.

JCB deployed to clear the road

After receiving information about the blockage, teams from the municipal administration and SECL reached the spot. A JCB was deployed to remove the accumulated mud and debris from the road.Efforts were subsequently made to clear the affected section and restore traffic movement.
