Drunk Biker Collides with Car in Balodabazar; One Dead, Three Injured

 The accident took place around 10:30 PM near Sandi Bangla village on the Raipur-Balodabazar main road.

The deceased has been identified as Sonu Sahu, a resident of Sassaha village. Preliminary reports suggest that Sonu, allegedly riding under the influence of alcohol, collided head-on with a car. The impact was severe, causing extensive damage to both vehicles and killing Sonu on the spot.

Car Occupants Injured

Sonu’s companion on the bike sustained serious injuries and was admitted to a local hospital in Balodabazar. The car occupants, a couple, also sustained injuries. They reportedly traveled to Raipur for medical treatment following the accident.

Post-Mortem and Investigation

The accident occurred on a day when Sassaha village hosted a fair (Madai) and evening cultural events. The police have registered a case at the Palari police station. Sonu’s body has been sent for post-mortem examination, and the authorities are recording statements from the family of the deceased and the injured.
