From Beijing to Bastar: In-Depth Discussion on Maoist Ideology Today

Amid the decisive battle against Naxalism in Chhattisgarh, a special seminar is being held today at the Town Hall in Jagdalpur.

The theme of the program is “The Ugly Face of Naxalism: From Beijing to Bastar”, featuring prominent speakers, senior politicians, and filmmakers from across the country. Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Vijay Sharma, along with Sudipto Sen, director of the much-discussed film “The Kerala Story”, will participate in this important discussion.

The objective of the seminar is to deeply explore the roots of Maoist violence, its ideology, and its impact on society. Deputy CM Sharma stated that the seeds of Maoism were sown in Beijing, the capital of neighboring China, but today it is causing bloodshed in sensitive tribal regions like Bastar. He emphasized that this ideology kills tribal people, blows them up with IEDs, and slits the throats of innocents.
