Government Purchases ₹450 Crore Worth of Paddy So Far: Over 14 Lakh Quintals Procured

The paddy procurement drive in Chhattisgarh under the Minimum Support Price (MSP) system has gained strong momentum. So far, the state government has purchased paddy worth ₹450.87 crore through procurement centers.

Along with the procurement, the payment process is also underway. MARKFED has already released ₹214.18 crore to the Apex Bank. The state government has provided MARKFED with a bank guarantee of ₹26,200 crore to ensure farmers receive timely payments without delays.

Senior Officials Monitoring Procurement

Strict supervision is being maintained at all procurement centers. Officers have been deployed at all collection points, and senior officials at the state and district levels are carrying out continuous inspections. Despite ongoing strikes, essential arrangements at the centers have been ensured so that farmers can sell their paddy without any disruption.

This year, 26.50 lakh farmers have registered for paddy procurement.

25,567 Quintals of Illegal Paddy Seized

To prevent the entry of paddy from outside the state and curb illegal transportation, officers have been stationed at checkposts. Under the ongoing statewide crackdown, 25,567 quintals of illegal paddy have been seized across 373 cases.

Total Registered Paddy Acreage: 29.27 Lakh Hectares

Farmers have shared that online token generation through the Tokan Tunhar App has made the process much easier, reducing crowding at procurement centers and ensuring smoother operations.

For the Kharif Marketing Year 2025–26, a total of 26.50 lakh farmers have registered, covering 29.27 lakh hectares of paddy cultivation. The state government aims to ensure smooth procurement and timely payments to every farmer.
