The central government has increased the number of IPS cadres allotted to Chhattisgarh. After this decision, now the IPS cadre of Chhattisgarh will include 153 officers from 142. For this, a publication has been made in the Gazette of India on 21 May. With the creation of new posts in the state, the officers of the State Police Service will get the benefit of promotion.

After the last cadre revision in the year 2017, the posts of GPM, Mohla Manpur, Sakti, Sarangarh-Bilaigarh, Manendragarh, Chirmiri Bharatpur and Khairagarh SP have been created along with Cyber ​​Crime and State Investigation Agency (SIA). After the information released, RR has been increased from 99 to 109 and State Police Service cadre has been increased from 43 to 46.

Let us tell you that after the formation of Chhattisgarh, the IPS cadre was revised thrice and the cadre was increased. In the first revision on January 30, 2024, 81 posts were approved. The second revision was done on March 30, 2010, this time the cadre was increased to 1-3. The third revision was done on May 19, 2017, this time 142 were approved for the IPS cadre. Now the revision has been done for the fourth time, 153 officers will be included in the IPS cadre by increasing 11 more posts.
