Intercity Express to Run Between Raipur and Jabalpur from Today

Intercity express train service between Raipur and Jabalpur will start from August 3. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai will flag off the Raipur-Jabalpur new express train service from platform number 7 (from Durg end) of Raipur station at 9:30 am on Sunday. On this occasion, Union Railway, Information and Broadcasting and Electronics and Information Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnav (through video conferencing), Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh, MP Brijmohan Agarwal, General Manager of South East Central Railway Tarun Prakash, RPF IG Munnawar Khurshid and Divisional Railway Manager Dayanand will be present.

During this inauguration ceremony, Rewa-Pune (Hadapsar) Express and Bhavnagar Terminus-Ayodhya Express will also be inaugurated from Rewa and Bhavnagar. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will be present at Bhavnagar station and Rewa station respectively and will flag off these trains. This express train will connect the three states of Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh and will provide a fast and alternative route between Raipur, Gondia and Jabalpur. This will provide a new, fast and convenient facility to the passengers.

Train number 20152/20151 Rewa-Pune (Hadapsar) Rewa Weekly Express is being operated on the route of Nainpur Balaghat-Gondia-Nagpur of South East Central Railway. The Railway Administration has released the timetable of the new train running between Raipur-Jabalpur. This train will run daily. The regular Intercity Express running between Raipur-Jabalpur-Raipur will have a total of 15 coaches. These include 1 power car, 1 SLRD, 8 general class coaches, 4 chair car and 1 AC chair car.

Tourism will get a new direction
This new train service will not only provide easy transportation to the passengers, but will also give impetus to regional social and economic activities. This service will be especially beneficial for businessmen, students, tourists and daily commuters. Cities like Raipur, Dongargarh, Balaghat, Nainpur and Jabalpur are rich in cultural, historical and natural heritage.

This new rail service will make it easier for passengers to reach tourist places like Nandanvan Zoological Park, Maa Bamleshwari Temple, Kanha National Park, Bhedaghat and Dhuandhar Waterfall. This will not only give a new direction to tourism, but will also boost the local economy.

Jabalpur-Raipur (train number 11702) will leave Jabalpur at 6 am. It will reach Madanmahal at 6:10 am. After this, it will reach Kachchpura at 6:25 am, Nainpur at 7:55 am, Balaghat at 9:22 am, Gondia at 10:10 am, Dongargarh at 11:33 am, Rajnandgaon at 11:58 am, Durg at 1 pm and then Raipur at 1:50 pm.

Raipur-Jabalpur (train number 11701) train will leave Raipur at 2:45 pm. This train will reach Durg at 3:22 pm, Rajnandgaon at 3:48 pm, Dongargarh at 4:13 pm, Gondia at 3:50 pm, Balaghat at 6:50 pm, Nainpur at 8:15 pm, Kachpura at 10:10 am, Madanmahal at 10:32 am and Jabalpur at 10:45 pm. Jabalpur-Raipur train will reach Raipur in 7 hours 50 minutes. While Raipur-Jabalpur train will reach Jabalpur in 8 hours.
