South East Central Railway has announced to run a new passenger train. This train will run between Raipur and Jabalpur via Gondia. Chhatra Yuva Nagrik Railway Zone Sangharsh Samiti has demanded to run this train from Bilaspur to Jabalpur via Raipur and Gondia.

Chhatra Yuva Nagrik Railway Zone Sangharsh Samiti said that by running the new train from Bilaspur, the distance to Jabalpur is only 518 km. This distance can be covered in 9 hours in Intercity Express. If this train leaves Jabalpur at 5 am, it will reach Bilaspur at 2 pm. Similarly, if it leaves Bilaspur at 2.30 pm, the train will reach Jabalpur at 11:30 pm. (Jabalpur-Raipur-Jabalpur Intercity Express)

Injustice is being done to Bilaspur right now

Chhatra Yuva Nagrik Railway Zone Sangharsh Samiti said that despite having a double engine government, injustice is being done to Bilaspur. Bilaspur Railway Zone is the highest revenue giving railway zone. Even after this, the new train is not being operated from the zonal headquarters Bilaspur. The committee has demanded Union Minister Tokhan Shah to take cognizance of the above matter.

In the released time table, this train will depart from Jabalpur at 6 am and reach Raipur at 1:45 pm. It will depart from Raipur at 2:30 pm and reach Jabalpur at 11:45 pm. This train can be run between Bilaspur and Jabalpur. The committee said that there are many such trains which take 9 hours to come and go.
