Jashpur Collector Rohit Vyas conducted an inspection visit to Sulesa village under Bagicha block on Wednesday to review administrative arrangements. During the visit, he inspected the Government Tribal Boys’ Ashram, the primary school, and the primary health centre, assessing educational, residential, and healthcare facilities.
The Collector began with the inspection of the Tribal Boys’ Ashram, where he reviewed the facilities provided to students and stressed the importance of cleanliness in dormitories, toilets, and the campus. He directed officials to ensure regular washing of bedsheets and pillow covers and ordered repainting of the building. Complaints regarding frequent absenteeism at the rural secretariat were also raised, following which instructions were issued to serve a show-cause notice to the concerned official.
He appreciated the naming of dormitories after freedom fighters such as Bhagat Singh, Subhash Chandra Bose, and Chandrashekhar Azad. He also instructed officials to display information about key constitutional and administrative positions to enhance students’ general knowledge.
Later, the Collector inspected the government primary school and directed teachers and staff to maintain punctuality and dedication towards academic responsibilities. He warned that negligence would not be tolerated and interacted with students to motivate them towards education.
During the inspection of the primary health centre, the Collector reviewed wards, laboratories, medicine stores, delivery rooms, and counselling units. Upon finding a shortage of laboratory equipment, he directed the CMHO to address the issue immediately. He also emphasized ensuring adequate medicine supply, maintaining hygiene, improving drinking water facilities, and carrying out building maintenance.
The Collector further instructed officials to ensure awareness and coverage of government health schemes such as Ayushman Card and Vaya Vandana Card among villagers, and to expedite card issuance for eligible beneficiaries.
