JK Lakshmi Cement Fined ₹9.12 Crore for Property Tax Default

In a major action, authorities have imposed a fine of ₹9.12 crore on JK Lakshmi Cement for not paying property tax.

Ahiwara Nagar Palika has imposed a fine of Rs 9.12 crore on JK Lakshmi Cement Plant for not paying property tax. On the orders of the High Court, the property of the cement company was investigated. It was found that the company had not informed the municipality about the construction of 1.90 lakh square feet. The municipality has directed to deposit the penalty amount within the time limit.

JK Lakshmi Cement Plant has also been ordered to submit the drawings in 4 copies for building construction permission within 15 days along with the layout approved by the Town and Village Investment of the entire building, structures constructed under the municipality, so that permission can be granted for construction of illegal buildings under the provisions of 187 (a) as per the rules. Along with this, the necessary documents and tax amount should be deposited within the time limit.
