Kawardha to get Regional Forensic Science Lab

Kawardha will soon receive a historic gift as the Regional Forensic Science Laboratory is set to be inaugurated, boosting crime investigation facilities in the region.

The state of Chhattisgarh is going to take another historic step towards making the investigation of crimes and the judicial process more scientific and strong. The state's 5th Regional Forensic Science Laboratory will be inaugurated tomorrow i.e. on 6 September in Kawardha of Kabirdham district. This laboratory is being established under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai and the efforts of Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma.

With the start of the new laboratory, the investigation of cases like murder, robbery, rape, cyber crime, economic crime and drug trafficking will be more scientific and accurate. Here, with the help of modern equipment, microscopic evidence like blood, DNA, hair, fiber, fingerprint, weapons, ammunition and narcotics will be tested quickly.

This will make scientific reports available to police investigators on time, delay in submitting reports in courts will end and the conviction rate will increase. As a result, it will be possible to punish the criminals quickly and both the trust in the law in the society and the fear among the criminals will increase.

Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma will be the chief guest on the occasion of the inauguration of the laboratory. The program will be presided over by Rajnandgaon MP Santosh Pandey, while Pandaria MLA Bhavana Bohra will be the special guest.

The opening of the laboratory in Kabirdham will benefit not only the district but also the surrounding districts like Bemetara, Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Mandai and Mungeli. This will save time and resources and cases of small districts can also be examined with scientific facilities like big cities.
