King of Katghora’ Enthroned at Padmanabhaswamy Temple

A huge crowd of devotees gathered at the Padmanabhaswamy temple to witness the enthronement of the ‘King of Katghora’.
Ganesh Chaturthi festival is being celebrated with great enthusiasm in Chhattisgarh. This year in Katghora city, Jai Deva Ganesh Utsav Samiti has decorated a Ganesh pandal based on the famous Padmanabhaswamy temple of Lord Vishnu located in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, which has become a center of attraction for the devotees.
The 111 feet high pandal has become a center of faith and attraction for the devotees not only in the district but also in Chhattisgarh. The work of pandal construction has been done on a war footing by the construction artisans who came from Calcutta. The 21 feet high huge and attractive statue of 'Katghora Ka Raja' has been built in the famous Radhe Art Gallery located in village Thanaud of Rajnandgaon district of Chhattisgarh.
Aarti will be performed daily in the theme of Ganga Aarti, about thousands of people from the state and other districts reach here to see it. The officials of the committee say that the purpose of this event is not only to prepare a grand pandal and idol, but also to encourage devotion, social unity and cultural values among the people.
