Leopard Enters Bathroom of House; Rescued by Forest Department After Two Hours of Effort

Panic gripped the residents of Sonamagar village in the Sihawa Nagari region of Dhamtari district, when a wild leopard suddenly entered a house. The leopard slipped into the bathroom of a grocery trader named Uttam Sahu, and the door got locked from inside.
When the family members heard roaring sounds coming from the bathroom, they sensed danger and immediately informed the Forest Department. Upon arrival, the rescue team took nearly two hours of effort to safely remove the leopard.
Leopard Released Safely into the Forest
The forest department rescue team opened the bathroom door and used special equipment to drive the leopard back towards the forest. Fortunately, no one was injured during the operation, and the leopard also escaped without harm.
Villagers in Panic, Forest Department Issues Caution
The unexpected incident has left the village in a state of fear and anxiety. The Forest Department made public announcements urging villagers to remain alert and report any wild animal sightings immediately.
A forest range officer informed that movement of wild animals has recently increased in villages near the Birgudi range, prompting enhanced night patrolling and installation of camera traps in the area.
