Local Rice Sold in Branded Sacks: FIR Against Two Rice Millers

Authorities uncovered a scam involving local rice being repackaged and sold in branded sacks. Legal action is underway, with FIRs being prepared against two rice millers implicated in the fraudulent activity.
A new case has come to light in the capital of selling local rice at a higher price by putting label of a popular brand on it. A team of officers appointed on the orders of Delhi Court has conducted a raid and seized 180 tonnes of rice. 90 tonnes of this is of Abba Huzoor brand rice. This is one of the popular brands. Low quality rice was being sold in sacks by putting label of Abba Huzoor and the price was being charged as per Abba Huzoor. The role of two rice millers is under investigation in this. Information is being gathered about them. Soon an FIR will be lodged against these people and further action will be taken.
After the complaint reached the main suppliers of Abba Huzoor, a team was sent from Delhi. The same team conducted a raid and seized 180 tonnes of rice. There is a good demand for Abba Huzoor brand rice in the capital. This rice is produced by Vasanta Rice Industries of Miryalguda, Telangana. Only last month, he received information that his brand was being misused.
Duplicates of sacks made in his industries are being made and local rice is being filled in them and sold. He filed a petition in Patiala House Court Delhi for action against such rice millers. The court gave a decision in his favour and ordered raids by appointing 2 court commissioners.
Investigation in warehouses of Tagore Nagar, Ekta Nagar and Temri
The team of commissioners from Delhi inspected the warehouses located in Tagore Nagar, Ekta Nagar, Temri in Raipur. This warehouse is a company named Aradhya Agrotech. Its directors are Narendra Khetpal and Kishan Khetpal. A huge amount of rice was stocked in these warehouses. Investigation revealed that 180 tonnes of local rice was kept in sacks labelled Abba Huzoor and other popular brands among other rice sacks. 90 tonnes of rice in this is of Abba Huzoor brand. The team has seized all the rice and sealed the warehouses. The team of officers said that the millers used duplicate packaging. Not only this, it was being sold at the price of original Abba Huzoor rice. Quality was also being compromised, so all the rice was seized.
During the raid, the commissioners appointed by the Delhi Court were present along with the police of Mana police station and Vasanta Rice Industries staff. Several thousand empty sacks have also been found from these warehouses, which have been packaged with Abba Huzoor brand. Soon an FIR will be registered in this matter at Mana police station. Currently, to avoid duplicate packaging, Khetpal and others have been stopped from selling Abba Huzoor brand rice.
