Leader of Opposition Dr. Charan Das Mahant said that the BJP government has stopped our government's Electricity Bill Half Scheme. Also, the increase of 20 paise per unit has doubled the economic burden on the public. Every consumer is seeing an increase of about Rs 1000 in his electricity bill.
Dr. Mahant said that what does the government want to do, why is there such a jump in the rate of electricity while Chhattisgarh is rich in natural resources like coal and water. Apart from meeting our electricity needs, we also sell electricity to other states. Due to the increase in electricity rates, anger is being seen among farmers, traders and all other sections. They have demanded the government to withdraw this decision and provide relief to the people.
