The arrival of monsoon is near. Then the electricity distribution company is worried about pre-monsoon maintenance. Pre-monsoon maintenance is being started in Bilaspur city from tomorrow, 31st May. It is starting from Mungeli Road and Circuit House feeder of Nehru Nagar sub-centre. Now every day power will be off for four hours in different areas of the city. Maintenance and upkeep of electrical equipment and lines is mandatory by the electricity distribution company before the rains. In this, necessary maintenance is done from sub-station, feeder, transformer to power lines.

Along with this, the branches of trees passing over the power lines are trimmed. This work was to start from 15th April. This time, with the onset of summer in the city, the consumers of the city were troubled due to daily breakdowns. They had to live without electricity for more than sixteen hours. There was anger in the entire city regarding this. Therefore, the electricity company had postponed the pre-monsoon maintenance campaign in view of the breakdown.

Now the arrival of monsoon is near. It is expected that rain will start soon. Then the pre-monsoon maintenance work in the city is being started from tomorrow, 31st May. The entire program has been prepared for this. The maintenance is being started from Mungeli Road and Circuit House feeder coming out of 33 KV Nehru Nagar substation. During this time, from 10 am to 1 pm, there will be power cut in the areas around Shubh Vihar, Minocha Colony, Om Zone, Green Garden, Nand Vihar, Narmada Nagar, Lubina Court, Ganesh Chowk to Mungeli Naka, Luthra Hospital. After this, power will be cut off in different areas of the city every day.

Maintenance started with a delay of one and a half months
The electricity distribution company starts pre-monsoon maintenance and maintenance campaign every year in the middle of April. This time, due to technical fault in the city, the power supply was getting disrupted for hours every day. Keeping this in mind, the company had postponed the maintenance. Now the power supply in the city has become normal. Therefore, the maintenance work is being started from tomorrow, 31st May, with a delay of one and a half months.
