Chhattisgarh's Ambitious Irrigation Initiative Aims to Reclaim 4 Lakh Hectares of Land
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai recently met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi to discuss key development projects, including the long-pending Bodhghat irrigation project. The project is expected to benefit approximately 4 lakh hectares of land upon completion. During the meeting, CM Sai presented a comprehensive master plan for the development of Bastar, focusing on transforming Naxal-affected regions into hubs of infrastructure, industry, and tourism. PM Modi assured full central support for these initiatives.

Chief Minister Sai, while giving information about the discussion with the Prime Minister about the project in a discussion with the media, said that this will irrigate 4 lakh hectares.

On the other hand, regarding the shortage of DAP before the Kharif season, CM Sai said that this is an international problem. There is a shortage of DAP not only in the state but in the entire country. Other options will be made available to farmers instead of DAP.
Taking a dig at the Congress statement on caste census, CM Sai said that Congress has been talking about census for a long time, but could not muster the courage to conduct the census. We have also announced, and the census will also be conducted.
