Online Betting Racket Busted: Chhattisgarh Police Arrests 6 in Nagpur

In a major crackdown, Chhattisgarh police raided multiple locations in Nagpur and arrested six people involved in an online betting network. Authorities also seized records of illegal transactions worth ₹20 crore during the operation.

Taking a major action against the online betting network, Khairagarh police has demolished the Nagpur branch of 'Shiva Book' online betting app. In this action, six accused associated with the betting racket have been arrested from the spot, while some accused including the main operator are absconding, whose search is on. The police has seized property worth about Rs 7.5 lakh from the possession of the accused, including 50 thousand rupees in cash, 2.28 lakh rupees from bank accounts, 25 mobile phones, 2 laptops, 26 ATM cards, 19 bank passbooks, 14 cheque books, 8 Aadhar cards, passport, Wi-Fi router and register of betting accounts.

Investigation has revealed that the accused have made transactions of more than Rs 20 crore through bank accounts and UPI, which has been seized by the police. On the instructions of SP Lakshya Sharma, the team of Cyber ​​Cell and Chhuikhadan police station raided Nagpur on the basis of technical evidence. In a flat, betting was being done on online gaming app through mobile and laptop. The accused were caught red handed from the flat, who were operating the betting app in different states of the country on the 'Shiva Book' app.
