Scam of 11 lakhs in PDS ration, no response to notice, now preparation for FIR

Raipur/Bilaspur. A case of embezzlement in the ration given to the poor from shop ID 401001134 under ward number 42 has come to light. Serious allegations have been leveled against the local ration shop operator Amitesh Rai that 285.48 quintals of rice was found less in the ration shop operated by him. On confirmation of the irregularities in which the Food Department had issued a notice to the operator. Under the Public Distribution System, fair price shop ID 401001134 was being operated by Amitesh Rai in ward number 42. Municipal Corporation Bilsapur by Khair Mata Food Security Nutrition and Consumer Service Cooperative Society.

The Food Department conducted an investigation on 23 August 2024. During this time irregularities were found in PDS ration. In view of this, a show cause notice was issued by the Food Department. After this, the operation of the fair price shop of 20 September 2024 has been suspended in the case of embezzlement of government ration. After this, the Food Inspector handed over the charge of the said fair price shop to the fair price shop Gauri Mahila Multipurpose Cooperative Society ID 402001157 on 5 October 2024. During this, Panchnama was done in which 285. 48 quintals less rice was given by the operator Amitesh Rai. Which is worth about 11 lakh 40 thousand. Despite repeated notices issued by the Food Controller on finding shortage in government ration, former operator Amitesh Rai neither compensated the food grains nor gave any reply. Now the Food Department is preparing to register an FIR against the former ration shop operator Amitesh. Answer sought in three days, not received for 10 months
After the matter of chaos in government ration came to light, the Food Department issued notices to the former operator of the ration shop several times in the last 10 months and issued instructions to reply within 3 days or compensate for the ration, but till now neither the reply has been submitted nor the amount of ration has been deposited. Now the department is preparing to take major action in this matter.
