Ongoing Operation in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur District Yields Significant Gains Against Maoist Insurgents
In a continued offensive against Maoist insurgents in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district, security forces have killed two additional Naxalites in the Indravati National Park area. This follows the recent elimination of top Maoist leaders Sudhakar and Bhaskar. The operation has led to the recovery of automatic weapons, including AK-47 rifles, and explosives, marking a significant blow to the insurgent group's capabilities.
Bijapur. The encounter between security forces and Naxalites in the National Park area of Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh is continuing for the third consecutive day. The security forces engaged in the anti-Naxal operation have achieved great success today. After killing Bhaskar, who was carrying a bounty of 45 lakhs, two more Naxalites have been killed today. Automatic weapons have also been recovered along with the dead body. Bijapur Superintendent of Police has confirmed this.
Let us tell you that the security forces have got great success so far under the anti-Naxal operation in the National Park area of Bijapur. In the same area, the soldiers have killed Naxal leader Sudhakar, who was carrying a bounty of one crore, and Bhaskar, who was carrying a bounty of 45 lakhs. Apart from this, two other Naxalites have also been killed in this operation. A total of four Naxalites, including two top commanders, have been killed in this operation.
The morale of the security forces is high, a big blow to Naxal organizations
The security forces had killed Naxal leader Bhaskar alias Mailarapu Adellu on Friday in the anti-Naxal operation going on in the National Park area. An AK-47 rifle along with other explosives, arms and ammunition were recovered from the spot along with the body. Bhaskar was a resident of Adilabad district of Telangana and was also the secretary of the Mancherial-Komaram Bheem (MKB) division of the Telangana State Committee of CPI (Maoist). Mandugula Bhaskar Rao was a member of the Special Zonal Committee (SZC) of the Telangana State Committee. He was 45 years old and hailed from village Urumadala, district Adilabad, Telangana. It is worth noting that during the same operation, on June 5, 2025, the body of Central Committee member Gautam alias Sudhakar was also recovered along with an AK-47 rifle. The morale of the security forces is high due to these continuous successes, while the Naxal organizations have suffered a major setback.
