Political and Cultural Activity Peaks in Chhattisgarh Today; CM Vishnudev Sai to Have a Busy Schedule

The state is set for a day packed with political and cultural events on Friday. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai will attend several major programmes in Raipur, while Chhattisgarh will also take part in the nationwide campaign marking the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram. Alongside, the Congress and Youth Congress are holding separate events that will keep the capital politically active throughout the day.

CM Sai to Attend Multiple Events
Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai will begin his day at 10 a.m. by attending the main event celebrating Vande Mataram’s 150th anniversary at the state secretariat. At 11:15 a.m., he will participate in the “Make in Silicon – National Symposium on Enabling Indigenous Semiconductor Infrastructure” at IIIT, Naya Raipur.
Later, at 12:25 p.m., the Chief Minister will attend the oath-taking ceremony of the new chairperson of the Chhattisgarh State Scheduled Tribes Commission at Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Complex. At 3 p.m., he will join the grand Vande Mataram anniversary celebration at Sardar Balbir Juneja Indoor Stadium.

Yearlong Celebrations for Vande Mataram’s 150th Anniversary
The nationwide commemoration of 150 years of the national song Vande Mataram will be launched today by Prime Minister Narendra Modi through a live broadcast on Doordarshan from 10 to 11 a.m., followed by a collective singing of the anthem across India.
In Chhattisgarh, the celebrations will take place in four phases, from village panchayats to the state level, encouraging wide public participation. The lyrics and tune have been made available on the portal vandemataram150.in.

Four Phases of Celebration:
1️⃣ First phase: November 7–14, 2025
2️⃣ Second phase: January 19–26, 2026
3️⃣ Third phase: August 7–15, 2026 (alongside the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign)
4️⃣ Fourth phase: November 1–7, 2026

Patriotic programmes and mass renditions of the song will be organised across all districts, panchayats, educational institutions, and social organisations in the state.

Deputy CM to Attend National Urban Conclave
Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao will leave for New Delhi tonight at 10 p.m. to attend the National Urban Conclave on November 8–9 at the Yashobhoomi India International Convention Centre, Dwarka.

Congress and Youth Congress Programmes
The Chhattisgarh Congress will launch its National Talent Hunt campaign today. State party president Deepak Baij will inaugurate the initiative at 11:30 a.m. from his official residence. The campaign aims to identify talented and capable youth to be given new roles within the party.

Meanwhile, the Youth Congress, led by state president Akash Sharma, will take out a rally from Rajiv Gandhi Chowk at 2:30 p.m. to the Election Commission office in Raipur. The protest is part of a nationwide movement led by Rahul Gandhi against the alleged “collusion” between the BJP and the Election Commission over voter manipulation
