"Poorva Agarwal Quit ₹30 Lakh Job for UPSC: From IPS to IAS, Inspired by This Officer"

UPSC result was released in the country today, in which Poorva Agarwal, a resident of Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, has secured 65th rank this time. Earlier she was selected as IPS in UPSC CSE 2023, she got Chhattisgarh cadre. Then she got 189th rank in 2023. Now she has become an IAS. Getting success twice in a row shows Poorva's hard work and dedication.

In an interview, Poorva Agarwal said that ever since she started studying, she had thought that she wanted to become an IAS. She left a private job of 30 lakhs to prepare for UPSC and got success twice in a row. When she became an IPS, she was very happy too. IPS is also a service, which is best for doing good to the people. After that I thought let's try once more, maybe I will become an IAS. Poorva further said that there is a little more diversity in the IAS service. I have built up the preparation that was there. The earlier mistakes were there. I tried to correct them.

Who inspired Poorva to become an IAS?

In the conversation, Poorva Agarwal told that she was very inspired by IAS Avnish Sharan. His journey was the best. He also motivates. I have got more impression from him through social media platforms.

Who will you give the credit for your success?

Poorva said, the entire credit for my success goes to Papa-Mummy, Didi and my friends, who have supported me. I thank everyone very much.

For those who did not get good ranks, Poorva Agarwal said that understand the syllabus well. Read it well. Always stay motivated. Keep talking to your family, so that you are always in the mental exam. This is the most important thing.

Poorva's father said that it feels great that my daughter has become an IAS. My daughter has been talented since the beginning. She has reached this position with her hard work and dedication. It is the blessing of all the well-wishers. I always tell my daughter to always work hard. God gives everything. By the grace of God, I have got everything today. I have got more than what I asked for.
