Pora Tihar Celebrated with Grandeur at Agriculture Minister’s Residence

Agriculture Minister’s residence witnessed vibrant Pora Tihar celebrations with Governor Ramen Deka, Deputy CM, ministers, MLAs and locals joining the festivities and dancing with joy.

Chhattisgarh's traditional festival "Pora Tihar" was celebrated with pomp and traditional style at Agriculture Minister Ramvichar Netam's residence today. Governor Ramen Deka attended this holy festival of Pora Tihar and offered prayers with rituals and congratulated the people of Chhattisgarh on Pora Tihar. He said on this occasion that Pora Tihar is an important tradition of Chhattisgarh's rural culture and agricultural life.

At the beginning of the program, Agriculture Minister Netam, along with his wife Smt. Pushpa Netam, prayed to Lord Shiva-Parvati and Lord Swaroop Nandiya-Baila and wished the people of the state happiness, prosperity and well-being. He wished the people present on Pora Tihar. Agriculture Minister Netam said that today is Pora Tihar, which is dedicated to farmers and animal love in the tradition of Chhattisgarh. Along with this, Teeja is after three days, which is considered the biggest festival for married women. According to mythological texts, Mother Parvati had observed the difficult fast of Teeja for Lord Shankar. Our government is increasing the respect of women by transferring one thousand rupees to their accounts under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana in the first week of every month. Agriculture Minister Netam said that following the path of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas, the government of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai is continuously working for the all-round development of Chhattisgarh.

On this occasion, Union Minister of State Tokhan Sahu, Minister Gajendra Yadav, Guru Khushwant Saheb, former Governor Ramesh Bais, MLA Purandar Mishra, Rohit Sahu, Motilal Sahu, Indra Kumar Sahu, officials of Mandal-Nigam Commission and a large number of common people were present.

Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao said that today our colleague Minister Ramvichar Bhaiya has invited us to his house to celebrate Pora by giving us the festival. Pora Tihar is a festival of Chhattisgarh's tradition and social harmony. Our government is doing many important works towards empowering women. Women and Child Development Minister Mrs. Laxmi Rajwada also extended her best wishes for Pora Tihar and said that our government is celebrating traditional festivals in the state with respect and new enthusiasm.

The Agriculture Minister's residence was specially decorated in a traditional rural environment. The environment decorated with traditional bullock cart, Nandiya-Baila and clay toys and utensils presented a glimpse of the rural area. On this occasion, Chhattisgarhi folk artists gave wonderful performances, which made the celebration of Pora Tihar more lively. On this occasion, visitors enjoyed various types of Chhattisgarhi dishes including Thethri, Khurmi, Airsa, Gulgula Bhajiya, Cheela, Fara.
