Monsoon Clouds Still Hover Over Chhattisgarh, IMD Warns of Rain for the Next Three Days
The monsoon clouds in Chhattisgarh seem in no mood to leave yet. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning stating that intermittent rainfall will continue across the state for the next three days. During this period, several areas are likely to experience moderate rain accompanied by thunder, lightning, and strong winds. However, after October 10, rainfall intensity is expected to decrease in northern Chhattisgarh.
Weather in the Last 24 Hours
Rainfall continued across several parts of the state on Monday. The highest maximum temperature of 32.2°C was recorded in Jagdalpur, while the lowest minimum temperature of 20.6°C was recorded in Durg.
Areas Receiving the Most Rainfall
The highest rainfall of up to 5 cm was recorded in Dabhra, Pusaur, and Chhal. Meanwhile, Champa, Pamgarh, Lormi, Chandrapur, and Bamhanidih recorded around 3 cm of rain, while Durgukondal, Bilha, Jaijaipur, Kharsia, and Pithora received around 2 cm.
Today’s Weather in Raipur
According to the Meteorological Department, the sky over Raipur will remain mostly cloudy on Tuesday. Light to moderate rain is expected in the afternoon. The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 32°C, while the minimum will be around 23°C.
IMD’s Advisory
The department has advised farmers and residents to remain alert for the next three days. It has urged people to cover crops stored in the open and avoid taking shelter under trees or electric poles during lightning.
