Raipur businessman Dinesh Mirania martyred in Pahalgam terrorist attack

Dinesh Mirania, a 42-year-old businessman from Raipur, Chhattisgarh, was tragically killed in a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on April 22, 2025. He was on a family vacation to celebrate his 20th wedding anniversary with his wife and their two teenage children.

After the news of this attack, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai expressed deep condolences. He tweeted and expressed his condolences to the victim's family and directed the officials to provide all possible cooperation.
CM Sai said, "We stand with the victim's family in this hour of grief. Instructions have been given to the officials to provide all possible cooperation. This act committed by the terrorists is highly condemnable. I pray to God for the peace of the departed soul and wish to provide strength to the bereaved family."
Collector and SP met Mirania family
Gaurav Singh, Collector Raipur and SP Lal Umed Singh reached Samta Colony and met the family of Dinesh Mirania. The officials also contacted the family member over the phone and consoled them. He assured all possible help to the victim's family.
Indiscriminate firing on tourists in terrorist attack
On Tuesday, there was a stir in Pahalgam, a famous tourist destination of Jammu and Kashmir, when terrorists started indiscriminate firing on a group of tourists. The attack took place when the tourists were enjoying horse riding. The terrorists fired for about 3 to 5 minutes, targeting the tourists riding horses.
6 tourists were injured in this attack, one of whom is said to be in critical condition. After the attack, the terrorists fled from the spot. The injured tourists were hurriedly admitted to Anantnag District Hospital, where their treatment is going on. After the incident, some horses have also been injured, which were shot.
Security forces started search operation
Immediately after the incident, Victor Force of Indian Army, Special Operations Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir Police, CRPF and other security agencies have started searching for the terrorists. Also, Quick Reaction Team (QAT) of CRPF has been sent to the spot, which is conducting a search operation by cordoning off the area.
