Raipur Emerging as Property Investment Hub: Godrej Properties Acquires 50 Acres of Land

Raipur is rapidly becoming a prime destination for real estate investment. In a major move, Godrej Properties has purchased 50 acres of land in the city, signaling strong investor confidence and future development prospects.
Chhattisgarh's capital Raipur has also started attracting national level companies in terms of property. Godrej Properties, the country's renowned real estate developer, announced its entry in Raipur with the acquisition of about 50 acres of land.
According to an official release, the development on this land will mainly consist of premium plotted residential units and the estimated saleable area will be around 9.5 lakh square feet.
Godrej Properties MD and CEO Gaurav Pandey said in the release. "We are happy to announce our entry into a dynamic city like Raipur. This acquisition is another important step in our expansion journey as we look to strengthen our presence in emerging real estate markets across India. With the growing demand for residential plotted developments and strong infrastructure development, Raipur presents an exciting opportunity,"
he added. “This acquisition is strategically aligned with our goal of entering high-growth cities through plotted developments. We look forward to developing a quality plotted township that creates long-term value for its residents and is in line with the emerging aspirations of the region,” the real estate developer said.
The land is strategically located near Old Dhamtari Road, which is the hub of the fast-growing real estate hub. The location offers good connectivity to Central Raipur, Raipur Railway Station and Swami Vivekananda Airport.
According to Godrej Properties, the area is witnessing rapid development due to strong social infrastructure, including prestigious educational institutions, healthcare and retail facilities.
The developer expects major improvements in infrastructure, such as its integration with the Atal Path (Raipur-Naya Raipur Expressway) and its proximity to the upcoming Raipur-Hyderabad and Raipur-Visakhapatnam expressways. This further increases the attractiveness of the location for residential development, the developer says.
Recently, Godrej Properties has acquired a licensed land in Panipat for Rs 600 crore. The land is spread over 40 acres, and has a potential developable area of 30 lakh sq ft and is expected to be a plotted development by the company.
