Raipur Railway Station on High Alert

Security tightened as dog squad team conducts checks after sudden high alert at Raipur station.

The railway station suddenly went on high alert after receiving a call at night. Uniformed RPF and GRP officers and staff were visible everywhere. A dog squad team was present at the scene. But after a while, people breathed a sigh of relief... because...

In view of the upcoming festive season, the Raipur Division of South East Central Railway conducted a mock drill for passenger safety and crowd control at Raipur Railway Station. The exercise was conducted on September 19, 2025, from 7:30 pm to 9:45 pm.

The mock drill was led by Senior Divisional Security Commissioner Raman Kumar and Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Awadhesh Kumar Trivedi. A total of 77 officers and staff participated, including Divisional Commercial Manager Rakesh Kumar, Assistant Commercial Manager Anand, Assistant Security Commissioner Sandeep Da Khiratkar, Post Incharge Inspector Karmapal Singh Gurjar, CBI Inspector Nisha Bhoir, GRP Station Incharge Bholanath Mishra, Chief Station Manager Ramesh Mandal, and T. Nag (CCI).

The mock drill included crowd control exercises at the holding area, entry/exit points, booking counters, foot overbridges (FOBs), and platforms. Passengers were given instructions through loudspeakers and PA systems, and the station was patrolled and checked. During the drill, the arrival and departure of trains 18029 and 15160 on platforms 5 and 6 were handled safely.
