Chhattisgarh will host a two-day Pravasi Chhattisgarh Conclave in Raipur on March 27 and 28, aimed at strengthening the participation of non-resident Chhattisgarh citizens in the state’s development. The conclave will bring together Chhattisgarhiya professionals and entrepreneurs living across India and abroad to discuss investment opportunities, employment generation and long-term collaboration with the state.
The event is being organised with the support of the North America Chhattisgarh Association (NACHA) and the Chhattisgarh NRI Association. Officials said participants from multiple countries are expected to attend, marking one of the largest platforms for overseas Chhattisgarhiya engagement in the state.
According to the organisers, the conclave is designed to connect the global Chhattisgarh diaspora with the state’s social, cultural and economic priorities. Key discussions will focus on sectors such as industry, startups, education, healthcare, tourism, skill development and infrastructure. Registration for participants is expected to open shortly.
The conclave will also serve as a forum for sharing experiences, expertise and global best practices. Organisers said sessions will explore how the professional knowledge, financial resources and international exposure of overseas Chhattisgarhiya can be channelled into sustainable development projects within the state. Special emphasis will be placed on building structured partnerships between the government, private sector and diaspora networks.
Senior officials said the event aims to strengthen dialogue between Chhattisgarh and its global community, while identifying practical investment models and employment-linked initiatives. Experts, entrepreneurs, social workers and sector specialists are expected to participate in panel discussions and interactive sessions.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said the state views its overseas citizens as a valuable asset. “Pravasi Chhattisgarhiya working across the world have the potential to contribute significantly through knowledge, innovation and investment. The government wants them to play an active role in industrial, educational and social development,” he said.
The conclave is also expected to highlight policy support available to investors, including facilitation mechanisms for NRIs and diaspora-led enterprises. Officials said outcomes from the discussions will be compiled and used to shape future engagement strategies with the Chhattisgarh diaspora.
With a growing number of Chhattisgarhiya professionals establishing themselves globally, the state government hopes the conclave will translate connections into concrete projects, partnerships and job opportunities. Authorities believe the initiative will help position Chhattisgarh as an emerging destination for diaspora-driven investment and innovation.
