The capital city of Chhattisgarh is bustling with a diverse mix of cultural events and political activities today. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai is set to attend several key programs throughout the day, while the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) gears up for a protest against alleged atrocities on Hindus in West Bengal.

Packed Schedule for CM Vishnu Deo Sai

Chief Minister Sai's day begins at 11:30 AM with his presence at the 'Dharma Raksha Mahayagya and Sanatan Sanskriti' program. He will then attend the swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected office bearers of the Chhattisgarh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) at 12:45 PM. Later, at 4:30 PM, the CM will participate in the 'Keynote' program organized by Patrika newspaper, followed by a private event at 8:30 PM before heading to the airport at 9:00 PM.

BJYM Protest Against Mamata Government

The BJYM will hold a protest in the Mana Nagar Panchayat area of Raipur, condemning the reported attacks on Hindus in Murshidabad, West Bengal. The demonstration will include the symbolic burning of an effigy of West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee. Local MLA Motilal Sahu, District President Ramesh Singh Thakur, and several party workers are expected to participate.

CCCI Swearing-In Ceremony

A total of 69 newly elected office-bearers of the Chhattisgarh Chamber of Commerce and Industry will take their oaths today at the Shaheed Smarak Bhavan. Chief Minister Sai will attend the ceremony alongside former CM Dr. Raman Singh, Ramesh Bais, and other dignitaries. Satish Thaurani will assume the role of President, with Ajay Bhasin as General Secretary and Nikesh Bhardwaj as Treasurer.

Congress to Lay Siege to CM House Tomorrow

In protest against the rising crime rate in the state, the Chhattisgarh Congress will stage a gherao (siege) of the Chief Minister’s residence tomorrow. Led by PCC President Deepak Baij, the protest will highlight the party’s claims that over 1,100 murders, 3,000 kidnappings, and 3,100 rape cases have been registered in the past year.

Digital Access for Villages: Launch of Atal Panchayat Centers

Starting April 24, the state government will roll out the Atal Panchayat Digital Seva Kendras in the first phase. A total of 1,460 gram panchayats will receive these centers, aimed at providing easy and centralized access to various government services in rural areas.

BJP's Outreach on Waqf Law Amendments

From April 25, the BJP will launch a public awareness campaign regarding the proposed amendments to the Waqf Act. The initiative will focus on informing the Muslim community about the implications and benefits of the legal changes. Bharat Lal Verma has been assigned to lead the campaign in Chhattisgarh.
