Shameful Act: Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s Statue Dishonored

In a disgraceful incident, miscreants disrespected the statue of former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna awardee Atal Bihari Vajpayee by garlanding it with shoes. The act has sparked outrage among locals and political leaders, with demands for swift action against the culprits.

On Thursday morning, such a scene was seen in village panchayat Aveli, 12 km away from the district headquarters, which made every villager bow his head in shame. Someone had garlanded the statue of former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee, installed at Atal Chowk, the heart of the village, with shoes.

In the morning, when the villagers were passing through the Chowk as usual, they were shocked to see this scene. In a short while, the whole village gathered there and a wave of anger spread. As soon as the information was received, the Jalabandha police reached the spot and with the help of the village Kotwal, the garland was removed from the statue. The police has started an investigation considering the seriousness of the matter.

Conspiracy hatched in the dark by cutting off the electricity?

According to the villagers, a two-day Kabaddi competition was organized near Atal Chowk, which concluded at around 2 o'clock on Wednesday night. After this, everyone returned to their homes. The interesting thing is that around 4 o'clock all the lights of the Chowk went off, while the electricity department says that they had not cut off the supply. This deepens the suspicion that the incident was carried out taking advantage of the darkness.
