Shankaracharya Swami Nischalanand Saraswati Maharaj has expressed concern over the incidents of murder of husbands after marriage and has advised the society to introspect. In a press conference held at Sudarshan Sansthanam Shankaracharya Ashram in Ravanabhata, he said that nowadays the women whom people fall in love with and marry, are getting their husbands killed. Then the question arises that what is the guarantee that the person they marry for the second time will not be killed? First there is love, then marriage and then murder. This is not love, it is spiritual degradation. When a woman gets her husband killed and then marries for the second time, then is there any assurance that she will not do the same to her second husband?

Many people cannot speak English and feel ashamed to speak Hindi, this is wrong. Speaking Hindi is important. Everyone respects regional languages, but it is not right to disrespect Hindi
