Shiv Sena Demands FIR Over Insult to Chhattisgarh Mahatari; Submits Memorandum to City Kotwali Police

Shiv Sena Raipur on Saturday approached the City Kotwali police station demanding the registration of an FIR following offensive remarks against Chhattisgarh Mahatari circulating on social media, which allegedly provoked sentiments against the people of the state. The party urged strict action, emphasizing that while expressing dissent is acceptable, hurting public sentiments is unacceptable.

Party leaders highlighted that after the recent incident at VIP Chowk, where a statue of Chhattisgarh Mahatari was vandalized, several inflammatory statements have appeared online. Recently, a person named Vaibhav Panda released a video making derogatory comments against Chhattisgarh Mahatari and the residents of the state, deeply hurting public sentiments.

In the memorandum submitted to the police, Shiv Sena stated that such statements not only insult Chhattisgarh Mahatari but also threaten peace and harmony in the state. The party warned that failure to act promptly could escalate tensions.

The memorandum submission at City Kotwali was attended by several Shiv Sena leaders, including District Vice President Sanju Sahu, City President Sai Prajapati, Social Media In-Charge Vicky Nirmalkar, Women’s Wing Secretary Lata Sahu, and other prominent members such as Santan Ratri, Mohammad Aqib, Jatin Vansh, Piyush, Rohit, Shyam, and Anshul.

Shiv Sena reiterated that the state administration must take immediate steps to prevent further incidents and safeguard the dignity of Chhattisgarh Mahatari as well as public sentiments.
