Show of strength on Teeja-Pora and Bhupesh Baghel’s birthday celebrations

Former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, like every year, celebrated the traditional festival of Teeja-Pora like a festival with a special event this year too. The program was organized at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Stadium in Raipur. Where artists like Chhattisgarhi folk singer Padmashree Mamta Chandrakar, Sunil Soni, Hiresh Sinha, Jiteshwari Sinha, Aaru Sahu gave performances. Artists danced in traditional costumes, swings were set up at the venue, selfie points were kept and people tasted Chhattisgarhi cuisine.

The celebration of Teja-Pora was not just a festival. This is because the program of Bhupesh Baghel's birthday turned into a show of strength when a large number of workers and his supporters reached there. A large number of veteran leaders and supporters of Baghel reached to congratulate him in heavy rain. Congress national spokesperson Ragini Nayak was also among them.

Senior Congress leaders including former minister Tamradhwaj Sahu, Ravindra Choubey, former minister Shiv Dahria, Amarjeet Bhagat, former minister Anila Bhedia, MLAs, former MPs and Congress officials arrived. Senior Congress leaders who arrived at the program gave the message that if there is any leader who gives direction to the Congress in Chhattisgarh, then it is Bhupesh Baghel. Addressing the public, former minister Ravindra Choubey said that a lot of effort is being made to scare and suppress Bhupesh Baghel, but Baghel is neither going to be afraid nor suppressed. Despite continuous heavy rains, there was a large presence of people in the program. Many supporters also wore T-shirts congratulating Bhupesh Baghel with his name and picture. At the same time, people were seen dancing with Baghel to the tune of Chhattisgarhi songs.
