Smuggler Caught with Plan to Sell Ganja in Mumbai

Police arrested a smuggler at the railway station who planned to transport ganja from Odisha and sell it in Mumbai.
A joint team of Excise Department and RPF team has taken major action at Raipur Railway Station. The team has arrested the smuggler with ganja worth lakhs of rupees. During interrogation, the accused told that he had brought the ganja from Jodinga in Odisha to Raipur by road and was preparing to take it to Mumbai. He was waiting for the train going to Mumbai, when he was caught.
According to the information, a search operation was conducted on the information of suspicious activities near pillar number 40 on platform number 1 of Raipur Railway Station. During this, a person was caught with a bag. During interrogation, the accused told to be Mohammad Aslam, a resident of Balrampur district of Uttar Pradesh. During the search of the bag kept with the accused, 16.65 kg of ganja was recovered in 7 packets from inside.
Crime number 134/2025 registered against the accused under section 20 (b) of NDPS Act. The accused will be produced in Special NDPS Court, Raipur today.
