Strike Takes Toll: 20,000 Cases Pending in Tehsils and Revenue Courts

The ongoing strike has severely impacted administrative work, leading to a surge in pending cases across tehsils and revenue courts. Over 20,000 files await resolution, causing concern among citizens and officials.

Due to the strike of Tehsildars in the state, files are piling up. The number of pending cases in all the tehsils of the state has started increasing. More than 20 thousand files are pending in all the tehsils and all the revenue courts. No decision is being taken on these.

On the other hand, students are facing the most problems due to the current academic session in all the districts. Students have to make rounds of tehsils to get income, caste and residence certificates made but they are getting disappointed. Decisions in the revenue court are also stuck. Despite this, the registry is not being affected much but other land related cases have been put on hold.

Due to the strike of Tehsildars, even the normal day-to-day work is not being done. According to sources, the maximum applications of students are pending in all the districts for getting income certificate and caste certificate made. In many cases, it is mandatory for the students to submit within the time limit but due to the strike, the signatures of Tehsildars are not being taken. The same situation is with the applications for Domicile Certificate. School students are wandering around pleading for help. Works ranging from map copy to research capacity certificate have also been stuck. Most of these works are done only under the supervision, approval and orders of Tehsildars and Naib Tehsildars. Similarly, works like error correction under Section 115 have been affected. Apart from this, bank recovery has also been affected. Decisions are not being taken on cases ranging from death transfer to demarcation and partition. Including cases of all levels, the number of pending files has crossed 20 thousand. This number is increasing continuously every day.
