Teams formed for swift action against illegal plotting
Raipur,C.G
Administration has constituted five teams to take rapid action against illegal plotting, ensuring strict monitoring and immediate crackdown on violations.
The administration has taken a tough stand against land mafia in the capital Raipur and has started preparations to crack down on illegal plotting and construction works. For this, the administration has formed five special investigation teams, which include Additional Collector, Tehsildar and Municipal Corporation officials. These teams have been entrusted with the task of investigating illegal plotting and construction in Raipur district, so that the land mafia can be curbed and the problems faced by the common citizens can be resolved.
The administration has received more than 2000 complaints so far from Raipur Municipal Corporation, Tilda, Dharsiwa, Mandirhasaud, Arang and Abhanpur areas. These complaints mention problems like lack of drainage, roads and other basic facilities due to illegal plotting and construction. These illegal constructions are not only affecting the lives of citizens, but are also adversely affecting the structure of the city.
Land mafias earn crores
In the last few years, land mafias took advantage of the administration's negligence and earned crores of rupees by selling illegal plots at cheap prices. Due to the rising prices of the TNC project, it had become difficult for the common people to buy a house, taking advantage of which the land mafia started the business of construction and plotting without permission. Due to this, the citizens were cheated and they had to be deprived of basic amenities.
Five teams will investigate, will submit the report in a month
Five investigation teams formed on the instructions of the Collector have been ordered to investigate illegal plotting and construction in various Patwari areas of the district. These teams have been instructed to submit their report within a month and take concrete steps to stop illegal activities. A senior official of the district administration has said that "Strict action will be taken against illegal plotting and construction. We will complete the investigation soon and file an FIR against the land mafia and ensure legal action."
