Local MEMU-DEMU Trains to Resume from July 15 After MP Santosh Pandey’s Intervention

Local MEMU and DEMU train services will restart from July 15, bringing relief to daily commuters. The decision came after MP Santosh Pandey held discussions with Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.

There is news of relief for daily commuters, students and employees. The operation of local MEMU and DEMU passenger trains, which were closed due to security reasons during the Corona period, is going to start again. South East Central Railway has decided to restore these trains in a phased manner from July 15, which will provide great convenience to those traveling to small and big stations including Durg, Rajnandgaon, Gondia, Katangi, Raipur, Dongargarh and Balaghat.

MP Santosh Pandey described it as good news for the passengers and said that due to the closure of these local trains after the Corona period, passengers were facing problems in commuting daily.

MP Pandey said that I constantly urged Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav on this subject and also prominently placed the demand to restart the operation of these trains in the divisional level railway meeting held in the month of June. Today this demand has been fulfilled. I congratulate the passengers for this. Along with this, I express my gratitude to the Union Railway Minister and the officials of the Railway Division.
