The duo, along with another friend named Labho, spent the early part of the evening together. After dropping Labho off at his home, Deepak and Shivsharan headed toward the Chikhli market. Police sources indicate that the two consumed a significant amount of alcohol during their private party near a local school.

The celebration took a fatal turn in the late hours of the night. On Tuesday morning, villagers passing by the Government Middle School premises were horrified to find the bodies of the two youths hanging from different ends of a single saree tied to a Babool tree.
