Tragic Road Accident on NH-43: Jharkhand Youth Killed, One Injured as Unknown Vehicle Rams Scooter
Jashpur, Chhattisgarh
The incident took place near Jaiswal Dhaba in Dhotatoli village when an unidentified speeding vehicle rammed into their scooter from behind.
According to police sources, both victims were returning to their village from Lodam when the collision occurred. The impact was so severe that the two riders were flung several feet off the road.
Upon receiving an alert from local residents, Lodam Police promptly reached the spot and arranged for immediate medical assistance. Unfortunately, one of the victims, identified as Rahul Kerketta, died on the spot due to the force of the crash. The second victim, Aman Kerketta, sustained serious injuries and is currently undergoing treatment at the Lodam Community Health Center.
Both victims hailed from Meral village in Garhwa district, Jharkhand, and reportedly belonged to the same community.
The unidentified vehicle involved in the hit-and-run is still being traced. Police have registered a case and initiated further investigation.
