Villagers blocked the National Highway for water, stopped the protest on the assurance of SDM

Gariaband. When the demand for boring for drinking water was not met, the villagers blocked National Highway 130C in the pouring rain. After the persuasion of SDM Tulsi Das Markam, the villagers stopped the protest.

The anger of the villagers of Boirpara village, dependent on Mahulkot in Devbhog block, was at its peak. The villagers, who were facing the drinking water problem, had demanded to install boring for drinking water, but the angry men and women reached the highway as their demand was not paid attention to and blocked the road by placing the utensils brought with them in a row.

The villagers are stuck on the road without caring about the rain that has been happening for the last three days. As soon as this information was received, District Panchayat President Gaurishankar Kashyap discussed the matter with SDM Tulsi Das. The SDM reached the spot and explained to the villagers.

The SDM said that the hand pump present in the village earlier has become defective, which has been directed to be repaired by PHE. Along with this, new pumps will also be dug in the village. The villagers have agreed after being explained.
