Weather Update: Rain Alert Issued, Monsoon Likely to Advance from Bastar

Rain alerts have been issued for several regions, with the monsoon expected to progress from Bastar. Authorities advise residents to stay updated and take necessary precautions.

There is news of relief for the people of Chhattisgarh who are suffering from humidity and heat. Today, the temperature of Raipur has increased by 2 degrees. On Friday, the temperature here was recorded at 39 degrees. Today, the Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for rain in many areas. Today, the possibility of monsoon advancing has been expressed. If the monsoon advances from Bastar today, then it is expected that it will reach Raipur by 16 or 17 June.

So far in June, 27 out of 33 districts have received less than normal rainfall. Only 6 districts have received normal or more rainfall. On an average, there is a 51% rainfall deficit in the entire state, which is considered less than normal. At present, the monsoon is weak and if the situation remains the same, then Kharif crops may be affected.
