At the AI Impact Summit held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, young talents from the state impressed national and international audiences with their innovation and skills. A student from Bhilai got the opportunity to interact with global tech leaders, while an AI company linked to Bilaspur received special recognition at the pavilion of one of the world’s largest chip manufacturers.
Kriti Priya, an AI and Machine Learning student at Rungta International University, was officially invited to the summit by Google. Selected as a Google Student Ambassador, she was among six students chosen from across India.
During the event, she had the opportunity to interact directly with Sundar Pichai, calling it one of the biggest achievements of her life. When she asked him about his top life priority, he replied with a smile, “Family.” She described him as humble and approachable, noting that he spoke with interest to each student about their state and experiences.
Kriti also received a special expo badge instead of a standard ID. As a student ambassador, she promotes responsible AI use, innovation, and technology-driven social change. The university management expressed pride in her achievement and stated that the institution runs joint degree and specialized tech programs with Google India.
Bilaspur Startup Gains Global Spotlight
At the same summit, AI startup SimplySmart, founded in 2022 by Devansh Ghatak and Amritanshu Jain, was showcased at the pavilion of global chip giant NVIDIA. Devansh serves as the company’s Chief Technology Officer, and its valuation is estimated at around ₹700 crore.
The company has developed AI platforms capable of running models at high speed and low cost — a process known as high-speed AI inference. This innovation has attracted major clients, including Tata 1mg, Godrej, Eros International, and Slice.
