🇮🇳 Renewed Commitment to 'Vocal for Local': 125 Trade Bodies in Indore Take Oath of Patriotism
Indore, MP
Giving strong grassroots-level support to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Vocal for Local’ campaign, over 125 trade organizations in Indore have united under the banner of “Swadeshi Apnao – Bharat Banao” to take an oath of national service through indigenous commerce.
The event was organized at the Jal Auditorium in Tukoganj under the aegis of the Ahilya Chamber of Commerce and Industries, where National Trade Welfare Board Chairman Sunil Singhi administered the oath to trade representatives and office-bearers.
Trade as a Tool for Nation Building
A large number of traders and businessmen were present at the event. Organizers stated that through ‘Vocal for Local’, the business community not only intends to promote Indian-made products but also aims to actively contribute to national economic self-reliance and development.
Akshay Jain, Joint Secretary of Ahilya Chamber, shared that Indore’s traders will now prioritize indigenous products across all business platforms and encourage consumers to adopt swadeshi goods in their daily lives.
Public Campaign Sparks Awareness Among Traders
Leading up to the oath ceremony, a week-long outreach campaign was conducted in city markets under the guidance of Chamber President Ramesh Khandelwal, General Secretary Gopaldas Agrawal, and Vice President Dheeraj Khandelwal. The campaign focused on connecting the trader community to the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-reliant India).
Speakers at the event emphasized that this initiative is not driven by commercial interest alone, but stems from a deep sense of national duty. By prioritizing local brands, the trade community aims to set an example of economic patriotism.
