24-Year-Old Man Found Dead in Room in Indore; Police Probe Phone Records for Clues

A 24-year-old man was found hanging in his room in Indore’s Khajrana area on Monday evening, prompting a police investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death. Officers said no suicide note was recovered from the scene, and investigators are examining the victim’s mobile phone records after multiple missed calls from his fiancée were discovered.
Police identified the deceased as Akshay, son of Ramnath and a resident of Shriram Nagar. According to officials from the local police station, neighbors alerted authorities after noticing suspicious conditions inside the room. A team reached the spot, conducted a preliminary inspection, and sent the body for post-mortem examination. Officers emphasized that the cause of death has not yet been established and that all possible angles are under review.
Family members told investigators that Akshay had moved to Indore about a year ago to live with his brother Amit. The family originally belongs to the Timarni area of Harda district. Relatives said he worked in a glass-related trade and had recently become engaged. They described the relationship as longstanding and said the couple had known each other for several years.
Police have seized the victim’s phone for forensic analysis and are studying call detail records to reconstruct his final hours. Statements from relatives, friends, and acquaintances are also being recorded. Investigators said the findings of the autopsy and digital examination will be crucial in determining whether any external factors contributed to the incident.
In a separate case in the city, a 19-year-old man who had been undergoing treatment after a road accident died on Monday. The victim, Vinod, a resident of Kasrawad in Khargone district, had been hospitalized for nearly two months following injuries sustained in a crash in the Banaganga area. He was receiving treatment at Aurobindo Hospital when his condition deteriorated.
Police said Vinod worked at a factory in the Banaganga industrial zone and was the son of a farmer. After completing legal formalities, authorities handed over the body to his family. Officials confirmed that accident-related procedures had already been initiated earlier and that no new foul-play angle had emerged.
Authorities reiterated that both cases remain under procedural review and urged the public not to speculate until official findings are released. Further updates are expected after forensic reports are received.
