On 26 May, the sacred Bhasma Aarti at the Mahakaleshwar Temple witnessed a divine display of devotion. Baba Mahakal was adorned with a magnificent Sheshnag and 'Om' symbol on His head, captivating devotees during this unique spiritual ritual. The doors of the temple were opened at 4 am on Monday, the Chaturdashi date of the Krishna Paksha of Jyeshtha month, in the world famous Shri Mahakaleshwar temple. Lord Mahakal was first anointed with water. After this, Abhishek Puja was done with Panchamrit made of milk, curd, ghee, honey, fruit juice.

On Saturday, divine decoration of Lord Mahakal was done. Shri Mahakaleshwar was offered ashes. Along with this, a silver crown of Sheshnag, silver Mundmal, Rudraksh garland along with a garland of flowers made of fragrant flowers were worn. Baba was offered fruits and sweets. Bhole Baba was attractively decorated with dry fruits.

Hundreds of devotees earned virtue by visiting the Bhasma Aarti in the early morning. People visited Nandi Maharaj and went near his ears and sought blessings for the fulfillment of their wishes. During this, devotees were also chanting Baba Mahakal's praises. The entire temple was resonating with Baba's praises.
