The court has acquitted three journalists who were caught in a false case and raised their voice regarding the illegal felling of precious teak trees from the forest range village Ladkui under Bhairunda area of Sehore district. After a long gap of 09 years, they finally got justice from the judiciary. All three were acquitted of all the charges. The acquitted journalists thanked the justice system, calling the judiciary supreme.
Lawyer Durga Prasad Tiwari, who is pleading on behalf of the three journalists, told the media that the officers and employees of the forest department had implicated the three journalists of Ladkui by registering a false FIR against them to hide their act. The employees of the forest department had lodged an FIR against the three journalists accusing them of stubbornness to avoid the investigation against them. He said that as long as the court exists, democracy and media are free. Every person gets justice from the court. This decision proves how people try to silence the media to hide their misdeeds. Yet the Indian media has been exposing cases against such employees.
