Two Locations Searched in Terror Conspiracy Case

The NIA conducted raids at two locations in Bhopal in connection with a terror conspiracy case. Several digital devices were seized during the searches for further investigation.

Searches conducted at multiple locations in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh and Jhalawar, Rajasthan in terror conspiracy case related to Hizb-ut-Tahrir (HuT). Intensive searches were conducted at two locations in Bhopal and two in Jhalawar as part of investigation into activities of HUT and its members in case RC-15/2023/NIA/DLI (HuT Bhopal case). NIA teams seized digital devices during the searches and they will be sent for forensic examination.

The case has been registered as part of NIA's efforts to dismantle various terrorist and radical networks and organisations trying to spread anarchy across India. It relates to the conspiracy of HuT to radicalise and recruit vulnerable Muslim youth. The youth were being motivated to spread violence to overthrow the democratically elected government of India and establish an Islamic state governed by Sharia law. NIA is continuing its investigation in the case.
