Guru Purnima: Massive Influx of Devotees at Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga for Holy Darshan

On the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima, a large number of devotees thronged the Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga temple to seek blessings of Lord Shiva. The temple premises witnessed long queues, devotional chants, and special rituals throughout the day.
Guru Purnima festival is being celebrated with devotion and enthusiasm. In this episode, devotees earned merit by visiting and worshipping Lord Omkareshwar Mamleshwar Jyotirlinga situated on the banks of river Narmada in Khandwa district of the state. Similarly, Guru Purnima festival was celebrated with devotion in the monastery temples and ashrams located in Omkareshwar. Devotees worshipped Guru in the ashrams situated on the banks of Narmada since morning. After visiting Khandwa Dadaji Dham, the process of devotees coming continued since morning.
The doors of the temple which used to open at 5:00 am in the month of Sawan will now open at 4 o'clock only. It will be closed 1 hour earlier and 2 hours late at night so that maximum number of people can visit Lord Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga. The doors of the temple will be closed at 11.30 pm, this arrangement will remain in force throughout the month of Sawan.
Heavy vehicles banned for one month
A large number of devotees and Kanwariyas will reach Omkareshwar to offer water in the month of Sawan. Therefore, the ban on heavy vehicles on Indore Khandwa Ichhapur road will remain in force for one month. All heavy vehicles will leave from Dhamnod Khandwa Maharashtra. Only small vehicles like cars, buses and petrol diesel tankers will be allowed to move.
